About Amanda Lee
I don’t know how it started, but somehow a bit o’ sugar got into my veins at an early age. For years I dreamt of becoming a pastry chef so right after graduating, I packed my bags and traipsed my way to French culinary school. After “pastry cheffing” in various kitchens throughout Australia I finally settled in Adelaide where I started my cake business Sugar Sugar Cakes. Business took off after 3 short years and following this I was privileged to be invited to teach cake classes, featured in international publications and won awards from Cake Masters, Cake! Magazine, ABIA Wedding Cakes and most recently Grand Prize in the 2016 Threadcakes Cake Competition.
After whipping up and delivering hundreds of cakes, and experiencing the incredible highs and lows of the ‘sweet life’, it is my passion and aim to build a support portal for cakers, bakers & enthusiasts alike – an accessible learning platform that will inspire, train and provide you with everything needed to perfect your craft.
